Windows media player 11 full screen and auto start using play list

I am using windows XP. In windows media player 11 I am using a playlist to
play .mpg files. I would like to start the files in full screen and would
like the files not to auto start is this possible? Any suggestions? Thank you?

No, it isn't. To start in Fullscreen, by default the file must be
playing - usually the player will also drop out of fullscreen when a
file has finished playing (or you'd not be able to see your desktop!)

Re: Windows media player 11 full screen and auto start using play

Thank you. One more question. How about starting the file in a paused state?
Any suggestions? Thanks.

There's no option for that either, sorry.

Re: Windows media player 11 full screen and auto start using playlist

I agree to disagree here ;-)
use /fullscreen switch for this; so your command would be

"%ProgramFiles%/Windows Media Player/wmplayer.exe" c:\yourfilepath\file.asf /fullscreen
