| Why will WMP 11 not allow me to play movies to my TV/VCR? My PC, running Windows XP, has just automatically downloaded WMP 11, which still allows me to play on the PC monitor all the movies that I have obtained from the net and also those that I have made, but when I connect to the TV/VCR by changing the settings on the PC, as I have done with WMP 10 with no problems, but now there is only the WMP 11 blue border on the TV with no motion picture in the centre just a blank screen, while the PC monitor is showing the movie. I have rolled back to WMP 10, but the picture is just the same now, with a blank screen and just the border on the TV. I have managed to reload WMP 11 but it has not made any difference. Every thing else that I have on the PC, such as the animated titles in Power Point, can still be played and recorded on the TV/VCR with no problem. So what has WMP 11 done to my machine? And how can I fix it? Can anybody please help me. |

| RE: Why will WMP 11 not allow me to play movies to my TV/VCR? Update to my request. I've taken John Inzer advice (12 Dec 06 No viveo in WMP 11)), and reduced my Hardware Acceleration settings by three notches, and hay presto, the TV is showing a picture at last. Many thanks John. All I have to do now is find out how to save the movies from the net, as WMP 11 will not save them for me, oh well that's life for you, damed WMP........Trevor.
