Audio in WM 11 stops, but song keeps 'playing'

WM doesn't crash, and the song doesn't stop, but I loose audio in WM11 every
time I open or close a window or file in another application. This started
since I installed 11, and now it kept happening even when I rolled back to WM
10.
The drivers are updated and I didn't run into the problem before installing
11. Has anyone figured out why this happens?

problem while playing DAT movie clips

DEAR SIR

i have encountered the error ID 0xC00D11D2 , Condition ID
0x00000000 while playing few DAT files on windows media player .

I am writing the the problem in detail in below :

i had kept few DAT files in E drive and the windows XP operating
system was there in C drive. Those DAT files were playing very well.
But i formatted only C drive and installed windows XP operating
system again in C drive. from then on , when i tried to play
those DAT files, this error message C00D11D2 is coming out. Also
whenever i tried to do the cut and paste operation to keep those
files in other drive , then even it is not being done showing the
error message " Access denied . Make sure the disk is not full or write
protected and the file is not currently in use "

i request you to kindly give me some sort of solution to this
problem in reply . my email id is kamalakanta.suna@rediffmail.com

thank u
best regard
