| WMP11 and Windows Mobile 5 Sync Problem I can't see the storage card for my WM5 device in media player (XDA Orbit) - I can browse it fine in my computer but it just doesn't show up in media player or media center. I've tried various suggestions about deleting library files etc and none of them have worked :( |

| Re: WMP11 and Windows Mobile 5 Sync Problem The following worked for me, not sure from your post if it's what you've tried already, but if not, give it a go -- good luck! WMP11-Mobile Sync Fix Step One -In the main device directory delete the file WMPInfo.xml -Delete the \Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player\ directory and all of the files in it including the WMDRM folder. -Delete the \Music folder Step Two -Go to your storage card main directory and delete the file WMPInfo.xml -Delete the folder \CF Card\MSMETADATA -Delete the folder \CF Card\WMDRM -Delete the folder \CF Card\Music Step Three -Repeat step two for any other storage cards. Step Four -Refresh devices in WMP and the storages card should show up in the left tab and in the sync window you can click "Next Device" "ben" <ben@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:D66598AF-5B78-4E95-802C-1E48BB0D7AE2@microsoft.com... >I can't see the storage card for my WM5 device in media player (XDA >Orbit) - > I can browse it fine in my computer but it just doesn't show up in media > player or media center. | problem media player pocket pc I cant play .avi files in media player. Any solutions? I have PDAVIET3 EggHeadCafe.com - .NET Developer Portal of Choice http://www.eggheadcafe.com |

| Re: problem media player pocket pc An "AVI" file is only a container file, not an encoded format. It's what's inside the file that matters (could be DivX, WMV, etc.) <adnan> wrote in message news:2007213192936adnanahmedi********.com... >I cant play .avi files in media player. Any solutions? | Re: No good for me A little help here...what's a QFE? I'm having the same problem (T-mobile Dash and Vista w/WM 11). Tried the solution. Device shows up twice, but no storage card. Any suggestions? | Re: No good for me That may be a separate issue The fix in the KB article is for media player on the desktop being able to see the installed storage card on the PPC. You might want to find and remove the "ignore_my_documents" file on that storage card and see if it helps. I've never had problems getting my media "seen" on the actual PDA device, though it may only be scanning 1 level of folders deep - make sure all your media files are in a top level folder like //Storage_Card/Music rather than //Storage_Card/Music/MP3 Cheers - Neil On Fri, 30 Mar 2007 16:04:02 -0700, Gene <Gene@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: >Will this fix work when the Windows Mobile media player does not see the >storage card and is there a fix in the works when using XP.
