| Re: Weak Engineering You won't be able to, sorry. Roll back to WMP10. I've got an X3i here too, which worked perfectly well during the Betas Unfortuntely something was changed in the RTM which prevents most pocket PCs from being used with WMP11 - not sure why, or how. I'm currently not recommendind users go to WMP11 if they have any devices which they use that are older than 6 months ago. Well, it will suit some people but not others is what I'm saying. We all know that nobody *really* reads the newsgroups about a relesed product before installing it, then complaining. I think one person *did* ask this week if it would be appropriate to install (they had a pocket PC so I said, not if you want to continue to use it for MP3 sync) Neil. ------------------------------------------------ Digital Media MVP : 2004-2006 http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/mvpfaqs |

| Re: Weak Engineering Well, most of the issues that people have discussed here shouldn't keep potential users from installing WMP 11. Most of the issues a related to specific hardware or software combinations. These are the things for which Windows Update is intended. Most of those will eventually, and probably soon, get fixed. So, most people should install it and try it for themselves rather than decide based upon what they read here. It's the features and usability issues that are the real problems that users should consider.
