| Windows Media Player 10 Is Unable To Stream video After Installing Internet Explorer 7. I hope someone can help. I have installed Internet Explorer 7 and all sites that I use for education content video streaming are still accessible, but when I try to stream video, I get a message about the embedded player trying to connect and nothing else happens, and in most cases I get a message that content cannot be reached. Can someone hit me with a clue? I have checked the networking settings in both the player and in Internet Explorer 7 and nothing unusual there, and there is no "Automatic" network setting detection checked in Internet Explorer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

| Same error I have encountered the same error after installing IE7. I can't connect to a stream from a computer on my network via WMP. After searching on Google for a while, I still don't have an answer, but maybe someone else does. In the mean time, I'll have to use iTunes. Try it by changing to http:// or rtsp:// instead > After searching on Google for a while, I still don't have an answer, > but maybe someone else does. In the mean time, I'll have to use iTunes. | response The stream I connect to is http. I connect to port 4711. The server is Streamsicle. It was working perfect up until I installed IE7. I thought the problem had something to do with Internet Options > Security > Zone Settings. However, even after disabling the auto-detect intranet, it didn't change anything. The error I get is: Windows Media Player cannot connect to the server. The server name might not be correct, the server might not be available, or your proxy settings might not be correct. I can connect to it just fine with iTunes, which rules out the first 2 options. EggHeadCafe.com - .NET Developer Portal of Choice http://www.eggheadcafe.com |

| please Help >>=> Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try installing an updated driver for your video card. | Rono | Windows Vista | 18 | 04-16-2009 05:40 AM |
