| Windows Media Encoder can't read input on WinXP 64, but can on WinXP 32 I have an mpeg2 file which I can read & convert to WMV9 using Windows Media Encoder (32 bit) on 32-bit versions of Windows. However, when I run off the exact same file on WinXP 64, it complains about one or more missing codecs (0xC00D1B83), regardless of whether I use the 32-bit WME, or the 64-bit WME. The file plays without a problem in Window Media Player 10 (after I installed a DVD codec). Ideally I'd love to use the 64-bit WME. Is there any way I can make WME (64) recognize mpeg2 content? -- © 2006 Kurt Swanson AB |

| Re: Windows Media Encoder can't read input on WinXP 64, but can on WinXP 32 If you're using 64-bit WME, you would need a 64bit MPEG2 decoder. I'm not personally aware of any 64bit MPEG2 decoders - but Vista x64 I believe includes one. -Zach -- Speaking for myself only. See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
