My Library doesn't detect/add all of my songs

Hi,
Just upgraded to WMP11. When I try to build My Library off of an
external drive that contains 6000+ wma's, it only seems to detect the wma's
that I have extracted from CD. I doesn't seem to detect/add the wma's I
created by extracting from album and cassette tape...

Has anyone else run into this scenario? Any work-arounds to get all
wma's detected? I've gone into the Advanced options in My Library's
detection setup and hardcoded in the path F:\My Music\WMA (where all my music
is stored), but like I said, not all wma's are detected.

Thank you very much!

Jeff

RE: My Library doesn't detect/add all of my songs

I upfraded to the final release a few weeks back but now I am back to WMP10 3
days after install it wouldn't add 1 MP3 track to my library. I have all my
MP3's under different GENRE folders for example DANCE etc then if I have
ripped a complete album they'll have there own folder DANCE >> Clubland etc.

2 days ago I tried to add some tracks and it would not add them the only way
I got it to add them. Was to edit the track name in properties and the file
name etc to say a LETTER A then it will add them to the library only to edit
them back again.

I think it's a bug and I have a post on here but a part from you where the
only 2 who seems to have this problem.

Hi Jeff,

I am having the same problem, see my post:

Add. Info:
I did reset/rename/delete the WMP database folder and the database file and
tried the proces from scratch, without result so far.
