As far as I'm aware, XPLite would remove too many files and pretty much
permanently break your install of Windows. That sounds like a pretty fair
question for their support staff.

If I were you and rollback had failed, I would have tried System Restore.
It sounds like your device wasn't compatible with either the UMDF or WMFDist
updates, but you rolled back the WMP11 updates only.

That's just guesswork, mind you - there's not a lot of concrete details to
go on from your posts, but those are my reasoned suspicions based upon the
supplied data.
