WMP 11 Database and File Corruption

I ripped over 700 CD into WMP 11 and at first everything looked great. I
finally had my entire CD collection on the hard drive. A few days later, I
noticed that my entire collection was totally corrupted. WMP11 randomly
created folders from other existing artists within other artists and it
changed the song tags information such as: Album, title, artist and file
location. I am about to pull my hair or delete WMP 11 from my PC. WHAT A
CRAPPY APPLICATION! My entire music collection is ruined. It as if a random
button was pressed and it randomly moved and created files and folder
everywhere.
Has anyone else experienced this? Other than having to rip all these CD
again or manually fix over 10K titles, is there a fix or a re-indexing
function that will correct this?

HELP!

RE: WMP 11 Database and File Corruption

WMP 11 has killed my sound system, by collection of media, my nerves, and I
have had all I can take of this most ungodly program that brings chills down
my back just to see its purple background start up on the screen--I have
tried thousands and thousand of reg, cures, reg, fixeres; I have had geniouses
look at it and shake their head in wonder. If your WMP11 has gotten itself in
a bad way - erase all of what you have on your computer and if you are lucky,
you can start again clean--but again, its always just a matter of time before
WMP11 strikes again. Sorry that wasnt any help, but now you know this is no
isolated or small deal going on here.

Re: WMP 11 Database and File Corruption

Real Player 11 http://uk.real.com/player/win/ might offer you better
and/or different device sync facilities. It's worth a look at least.

HTH
Cheers - Neil
