WMP 11 (Vista) echo and varying volume during playback.

Hi folks - I'm getting echo and variable volume levels during audio playback
in Media Center and WMP 11. It's only just started and was working fine
before that (6 mths). Playback is fine in all my other media players ie
winamp etc. All my audio devices are up to date and the latest patches
installed. I've got no idea how to fix this problem. PLEASE help

Thanks
