| Windows Media Player 11/Media Center Player plays too fast I have XP Media Center. Both media players (MP 11 & Media Center) have a recurring tendency to play videos 2-3 times faster than normal. After 1-2 restarts of the computer, it often returns to normal, but doesn't last long. Very soon both players start playing videos way too fast. There is also no audio when this happens. Adjusting the Hardware Acceleration tab does nothing. What is going on? How do I fix this problem so it doesn't happen anymore? Very frustrating! |

Did you manage to solve this error - I have exactly the same error with the slight exception that my computer does not fix on a restart. It is definitely very frustrating! |

I did, but the one MPEG file listed in the check came back as ok and when I clicked on the "Check for Update..." button, but it took me to a website wanting to sell some DVD software. I have no idea what to do, so I welcome any suggestions. |

| Re: Windows Media Player 11/Media Center Player plays too fast After uninstalling several programs I thought were not needed WMP would only play fast and without sound. I tried installing codecs and severl other ideas I googled but, this is what worked for me. http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_...ry_cleaner.htm -- myother ------------------------------------------------------------------------ myother's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/myother.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/media-technology/895809.htm http://forums.techarena.in |
