| wmp 11 and quicktime i have winxp sp2 with wmp11 as my default media. do i still need quicktime installed on my computer? -- topo |

Quicktime has a wide range of media types supported, not all of which WMP can be made to support. There's not much harm having it there (although keep it up to date at least for security bugfixes) If you have an iPod it may well be required to convert and sync audio and/or video content to the device.
