I am running my pc on XP-Media Center Addition and I can't access my music
files in either Media Center of Media Player. This one has got me completely
stumped and would appreciate any suggestions.

I have tried all the obvious remedies in Player, like adding folders to the
library and trying to add music from a playlist but nothing works. I can
listen to music from the My Music folder in My Documents by accessing thru
the folder but can't add these folders/songs to either Media Center or Media
Player - strange!

Two things. First, make sure that you tell Media Player to add previously
deleted tracks - it's on the screen that comes up when you press F3. If
that's not the problem, try rebuilding your database:
