wmp wont work for me

i only got my dell laptop 2 days ago an d i cant burn any songs on it wot up
with that does any one have a answer i had the same problem with my pc which
is xp and was never able to get it fix thats why got this new laptop it very
annoyin that i have 2 computers that i cant burn cds on. please help me.
