| Vista WM gets access denied to all .wav & .mp3 files Recently I noticed I can't actively play any .wav or .mp3 files. Sound still function, I can move the volume slider and hear it, windows start up sounds etc, but nothing in Windows Media or other players. Usually the error is a generall Access Denied "You've encountered error message C00D11D2 while using Windows Media Player." So of course I have checked permissions and even gone so far as to make sure "Everyone" has full control. I suspected Indexing had the file(s) locked so I even tried something on the network, but always get the same file. Even get the same error when playing default Windows sounds in C:\Windows\Media I can play the .mid but not the .wav Any Ideas? I'm stumped! |

| RE: Vista WM gets access denied to all .wav & .mp3 files Solution Found: UPdated system BIOS > No Luck ReInstalled Audio Driver > Fixed problem This was a very strange problem because the audio of the system still funcitoned and .wav files could be heard (system startup sound, email notifications etc etc) but no .wav file or mp3 would play. They would alway get access denied. |
