Cannot play MSNBC, NBC, MSN Videos on MediaPlayer 11

It's ironic that MSN and MSNBC videos won't play correctly on Windows Media
Player 11, but that's exactly what is happening to me.

I can get audio only, but the video portion is just a black screen. I've
been trying to troubleshoot this on my own for weeks and I'm at my wits end.
Nothing is working.

I have a brand new Gateway laptop with XP Professional. Internet access is
via BellSouth DSL. It's a clean new system with everything installed fresh.
There's no reason why videos shouldn't be working properly. I never get an
error message or any guidance to explain to me what the problem could be.

I have every possible Microsoft Update available and nothing is fixing
Windows Media Player 11 for me. I am even up to SP3 for Office 2003.

Could someone please point me in the right direction so I can resolve this
problem?

I fixed the problem myself. At last.

Decrease the acceleration of the video. All's well again.

Gee, it would be nice if there were something in Help or FAQ regarding this
easy fix. I dang near drove myself insane figuring it out myself.

I share your frustration with WMP 10/11. Wouldn't it be nice if you could
actually call Microsoft free of charge and speak with someone who worked on
this media player? Be that as it may, have you tried deleting your temporary
internet files? Also, you may have to disable any firewall. You may also
want to try deleting any Active X objects. (Tools>Internet
Options>Settings>View Objects). I pray this may be of help. I honestly
cannot think of another solution.

Blessings
