subwoofer and media player

Hi,

after installing windows 64 I noticed that my subwoofer doesn't work when
playing audio in media player DESPITE it works in the mixer software and
defined correctly in the windows audio section.

the device is a cmedia 8738 7 channels pci.

Appreciate your help.

Have you tried going to "control panel " sound effects manager, in there make
sure that your set up to 5.1

Yes,

i't works fine on the classic media player, but not on the new version.
