Re: Windows media player 11 ripping problem

Hi, I'm having the same problem...can't rip on WMP 11.

I "rolled" back to 10, but it still won't rip. The runtime part of WMP
11 is still in the "PROGRAM" file...wondering if it would be safe to
remove that from the programs and then REINSTALL WMP 10 from the
Microsoft website.

It's very frustrating to not be able to rip songs...especially when I
paid for them already and put them on a CD for later use.

Thanks for any help. Not computer savvy, so please be kind and "simple"
in your reply. ;o)

Re: Windows media player 11 ripping problem

HI,

I've found out that you don't want the error correction - it slows
ripping right down.

Just click on the arrow at the bottom of the RIP tab and select
"format" then select mp3. Click on the arrow at the bottom of the RIP
tab again and this time select "bit rate" it will be set on the lowest
128kps. Select the next one up - 192kps and it should work straight
away (it did for me) If you select higher bit rates it will also work
but the file sizes will be bigger (so it depends what you want)

Re: Windows media player 11 ripping problem

You rip slower, but it should be more accurate. I like accuracy better than
speed. =\

Re: Windows media player 11 ripping problem

1.open windows media player
2. click tools
3.next options
4. devices
5. highlight audio cd drive
6. click properties
7. select digital and use error correction on Playback the same on the
rip portion
8. click apply
and probably you can rip the cd.
