| Audio and Video Stuttering Hi All, I see that this error has come up on the discussions but no solutions. I have a laptop: Acer TravelMate 2413LCi 1.5GHz with 2Gb Ram and windows XP Pro SP2. My PC had been running fine up until yesterday. Now it seems really slow with all sounds be they from iTunes or just windows sounds having a bad stutter to them. If I try and play any video - realplayer or windows media - it also stutters with the screen freezing then leaping ahead. I have run all antivirus software (NOD32) and adaware and spybot programs, but the problem still remains. The only thing I installed recently was Video Egg which I have since removed. The only programs that I have spent any time on these past two days has been Facebook and Flixter. Any ideas would be appreciated as it is driving my to distraction now. Thanks. |

If it affects multiple programs, I'd consider your audio and/or video hardware driver (software) isn't up to date. You could try either of windows update website, the Acer support website or any CDs provided with your computer to find drivers for that hardware. | Re: Audio and Video Stuttering Hi Neil, Thanks for the advice. What I have done is a System Restore to two days ago when everything was still working fine, and that seems to have sorted out the problem. Hasn't addressed what the actual cause of the problem was, but at least all is fine now. | Re: Audio and Video Stuttering I suppose the implicit question is what software or updates were applied in the 2 days since the last system restore point ?
