| Linksys WRT110 and Windows7 My old but trusty XP PRO machine is failing and will be replaced with a new windows7 machine. I plan to use the same WRT110 with the new machine. Has any reader connected a WRT110 router and Windows7? Best, Seamus J.Wilson |

A router connects hardware, and the operating system isn't really involved. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP (Windows Desktop Experience) since 2003 Please Reply to the Newsgroup |

I looked around but couldn't find anything solid. I'm going to keep looking. |

I remember troubleshooting such an issue with Vista/Outlook2007 where syncing to the exchange server over RDP in a remote site wouldn't work properly/reliably until updating the router. Router in question at the time was the RV042. I'd have to dig through old notes to find the specific standard. |

| Re: Linksys WRT110 and Windows7 Char: I agree with you that there are no direct firmware update listings for Win7, but I've found that firware updates aren't operating system dependent. Looking at the FAQ notes for Win7 found at http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/support/WRT110 don't indicate any odd installation requirements.
