help text display problems in IE6

I want to display a help text in the page when the mouse is placed over an image. i have done that as a table which shows the help text, the table is displayed by calling a js function on mouseover the image. its working properly in IE&. but in IE6, there is a small problem, if there is a dropdown box in the area of the table, the dropdown appears in front of the help text. any idea how to solve this? or how to implement the help?
