| DVD drive problems I recently bought a pioneer 112 DL dvd burner and removed my old CDRW ,which was set to slave, as I have another DVD burner NEC already. I set up thenew one exactly the same, slave. But since installing, the NEC drive no longer refreshes and each time I click it to open it comes up with application error, followed by the box the box where you label your disc for backups (windows back up). I have the latest firmwares for each one, I have checked the jumpers at the rear and cables. If I reboot the icon updates with which ever disc is present, for this example, BF2142. But double clicking results in the above error. If I remove the disc and swap it to the pioneer then refresh it, it still holds the bf2142 icon and the pioneer drive does not update with the new icon but does allow me to open the folder then use the applications as normal. Any ideas?? |
