| Can't Turn On Boot-Up Memory Test I can't seem to find how to turn on boot-up memory test for my computer. My system gives me no indication that a memory test is being performed and I can't find a setting for it in my Award BIOS Setup Utility. The closest I found is a setting for 'Quick Power On Self Test'. Which is set to Enabled. Not sure if Disabling this would cause it to perform a memory test or not. The manual doesn't specify. Any ideas on how to get it perform a memory test? Thanks, James |

| Re: Can't Turn On Boot-Up Memory Test Hi, Try unchecking it, as soon as you reboot you'll know if that's it. Usually the trigger is a line about boot time diagnostics, and thought the verbiage varies by distributor, that certainly sounds like it. You are aware too that there is a memory diagnostic tool in Vista as well, yes? Just type "memory diagnostic" into the start/search line to begin. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "JamesJ" <jjy_darwin@roadrunner.com> wrote in message news:%237Mc%23GwUKHA.3720@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... | Re: Can't Turn On Boot-Up Memory Test I was going to uncheck it but I consider the BIOS as off limits as windows registry. Although I have been know to screw up my system. No, I didn't realize Vista had a memory diagnostic. I'll look into that.
