| Re: Memory dump error while installing Windows Hi, A sudden loss of power during operations could have damages any number of components. The most likely problem is corruption of the hard drive or file system. First, I would try deleting and recreated the installation volume (doing so will cause the loss of all data currently on that partition). If that fails, I would download a diagnostic utility from the manufacturer and check the state of the drive. These utilities are generally used to create a bootable disk to check the system with. If the drive passes the tests, then I would look next to the memory, tools like memtest86, docmemory, or Microsoft's oca memory diagnostic can be used to check for damaged memory modules. If the memory checks out, then swapping in a known good working power supply would be the next step. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org Vote for my shoe: http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "saeen" <guest@unknown-email.com> wrote in message news:40be6883ea200ea273ff72218bc96021@nntp-gateway.com... > > Hello > I was working on pc like on daily routine and accidently there was a > power failure.
