Hello, Vistaheaders.

I have encountered a problem while installing my Pinnacle 70e tuner on
my Vista 64 machine. When I plug it in, the computer lists it as -"ET
USB 2750 Camera"-, which I do not own nor know nothing off. I have
downloaded the XP 32-bit, Vista 32-bit and 64-bit drivers, but Windows
always says that the -ET USB 2750- drivers are newer and work, while
Media Center doesn't realize I have a tuner.

The weird issue about this is, that I have a laptop running Windows 7
32-bit RC1, and the Vista 32-bit drivers work fine on it and Media
Center notices that I do indeed have a Pinnacle TV tuner, but the Vista
machine doesn't want to accept it's own drivers. Any help?

Hi,

Even though this is an old issue, thought id post this here for future
reference.

I have the same TV tuner, the drivers can be found here:

(Under PCTV 70e)

To install the drivers though, you need to manually open device manager
and update the drivers.
Right Click "My Computer" > Manage > Device Manager > Imaging Devices >
ET USB 2750 Camera > Properties
Then in that window go to the Driver Tab, then click Update Driver
Select "No, Not this time" for windows update if it comes up
Select "Install From A Specific Location"
Select "Search for best driver in this location"
Select "Include this location in search" and click Browse..
Navigate to where you extracted the drivers you downloaded
Click Next
And it should update the drivers.

The TV Tuner will now come up in windows media center for use!

Note that I did a few steps from memory as I am at work, but I'm sure
you will get the idea.
I did this on Windows 7 Professional 64bit, and it worked perfectly.

I still get the same error, where Windows thinks that the drivers are
better on the computer and yes, I have installed this device earlier on
Windows 7, so I doubt it's the same.
