| Re: dvd HCL Hi, That would be up to the manufacturer as to whether or not necessary drivers are developed or firmware that is compatible is released. Microsoft doesn't write the supporting software for devices, it writes the operating system. It includes, where possible, drivers supplied by the manufacturer in the operating system. Once the operating system is released, supporting files for additional devices must come from the device manufacturer. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "squeek64" <squeek64@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:5AD007B7-2484-4FC4-A90C-52BD3546E149@microsoft.com... > My sony optiarc dvd is on the HCL, but not for my 64bit Vista, will it be? > > ---------------- > This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the > suggestions with the most votes. You need to ask Sony. |
