| No Parallel Printer but Event Error Log each bootup... Vista Home Premium w/SP1 all Windows Updates applied. I have no parallel port on this motherboard (that I know of <g>), Device Manager doesn't show any Parallel port devices or ports, but Event Viewer continues to log the below error each boot: The Parallel port driver service failed to start due to the following error: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. I can't find the Service it may be talking about, and I don't find the online help very, errm helpful on this one. Any ideas? -- thanks...vistaman Using Opera's revolutionary e-mail client: http://www.opera.com/mail/ |

If that doesn't do it, then: Disable the service in Administrative Tools as well. > > -- > vista > Using Opera's revolutionary e-mail client: http://www.opera.com/mail/ |

So, as I said, it's /not/ normal :) -- vista... Opera/9.51 (Windows NT 6.0) |
