Hi,

Microsoft Intellipoint 6.1 software has a bug that causes the screen to
flicker in certain applications. My question is why haven't Microsoft done
anything about this. It's been out since feb 2007. As a Vista user I have no
alternative other than to use it but I am not happy.

There has been a 6.2 out for months.

Unfortunately 6.2 hasn't addressed the problem.

I would suspect the video or sound card drivers.

Windows Mail for a start. The flickering is intermittent.

Check the Mouse Properties and make sure one of the buttons is NOT set to
Instant Viewer, I believe this is what is causing most of the flickering
issues.

It is not the video or sound drivers. Intellipoint 6.+ is so incompatible
with all new Autocad / Autodesk products that our office is going to have to
scrap a fleet of new microsoft 5 button mice. This has been a problem for a
while. I have tried a few different ways to contact somebody about this.
Bottom line is, unless I'm willing to start with a 35$ charge on my credit
card (to get a tech to start caring) I think I am just scrood. Kaching.
