| Sony Camera driver problem I have a Sony Cyber-shot T100 that when plugged in via a USB Vista sees but claims it needs the driver. Spent 48 minutes with Sony and another 55 minutes with HP. Sony says it doesn't supply the driver and claims that the camera's driver is already in Vista. NOT! HP tried downloading a Sony USB driver but it didn't work either. When I remove the SD card and plug it into the computer's card reader, I can download the photos, but not when it is in the camera, connected via the USB cable. Any suggestions ... other than going back to XP, where it worked perfectly. |

| Re: Sony Camera driver problem I have just overcome the same problem with a lesser Sony camera. All you do is this: Switch the camera ON (don't connect it to the PC yet) Switch function switch to SET UP. Scroll menu to last item and highlight USB CONNECT. Change this setting to PTP from the NORMAL setting you have. Save and exit menu. In my case this completely cured the problem and Vista's 'My Computer' shows a Sony camera folder with all the pictures in it -- pilihp ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pilihp's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/139619.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-hardware-devices/916963.htm http://forums.techarena.in |
