error 1024

Hi,
I get this error message : hardware error :1024 what do I need to do to
rectify this please.

This error occurs because of driver problems with the Speedtouch modems used
in the UK. If you haven't already, try downloading the latest VISTA drivers
for your modem.

Are you using a SpeedTouch broadband modem ?

Hi Tom yes I am, I have a Thompson 330,been on to Driver Detective and the
download seems to be wrong,it opens up as Adobe,anything else I can try
