I have tried multple times to get the Windows Mobile center to work properly
and I have tried many times to get the following update to install and it
will not finish.

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with
error 0x800705b4: Microsoft Corporation driver update for HTC USB Sync.

I have already checked the HTC site and they do have an update for the phone
but the Mobile Center has to be working first.

System information
Vista Ultimate 64bit
4GB Ram
2 Intel Dual Core processors
700 GB Hard Drive.

I have tried with windows firewall on and off and still doens't work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Microsoft does give free online and phone support for Windows Update
problems regardless of where you got Windows (pre-installed or retail). The
