| Adaptec 2410SA Raid Contro;;er Hello Let me give a little background to my question. I have a home built computer that I have used for about 3.5 years. It is built upon an ABIT IC7-G motherboard, The disc storage controller is an Adaptec 2410 SA. It has 4 SATA 1.5 gig ports. I have had 4 ea. Seagate 200 Gbyte 7200.7 discs connected to the ports. Originally I had Windows XP Pro installed on the system. In May of this year I upgraded the system to Windows Vista Ultimate. Everything went smooth until about 2 weeks ago when I had a disc failure. Running the disc verify allowed me to get the system back up until I could install a new disc. I did and it was in the process of rebuilding the array. System was running OK until I ran Firefox which went immediately into updating itself (I had previously delayed it until it ran again.) and the system Blue screened. It was the famous IRQL not equal to, I rebooted and it could not. It said to reboot with the WinVista install disc and to run the "Repair" option. I did and when I clicked on the "Repair" option no operating systems were listed. I knew I had to load the 2410 SA drivers. They are on the install disc according to adaptec. Adaptec does not have donload option to get them. If they are on the WinVista install disc how can I get them loaded so I can repair the system? Is there a site that I can download them from? I need help. Thanks in advance for any help I receive. I am very grateful. Doyle Stroup |
