i am trying to connect to internet with my Nokia 6681 as modem via vodafone,
same everything is working fine on my desktop with XP, i know that this is
not an issue with viat as my friedn has done it already.

I don't get any error message, it just says "connecting device" and then
times out, tried to query modem, working fine, trying uninstalling &
installing nokia modem, pcsuite.

once while the pc suite was trying to connect (before that time i was
getting other errors, guess because of wrong settings), the data cable was
unplugged from laptop accidently and the laptop got hand. i had to reboot. i
guess this might have done some damage in registry, please help. nokia's
latest registry cleaner tool doesn't support Vista
