Flash Drive Not Getting Sensed By Vista

I have a flash drive by verbatim and it has previously worked on my Windows
XP computer and it says that it is also able to be used on Vista but when I
plug the device into my USB port it doesn't show up in my computer but it
says in the bottom right the safely remove symbol. I don't know what to do
any help is greatly appreciated.

RE: Flash Drive Not Getting Sensed By Vista

Hey,

Every1 is having that problem... What all of us that are having that
problem have to do is wade it out until Microsoft acknowledges it and
releases a KB.

I had the same problem but discovered that the flash drive was being
recoginized as a same drive letter as a drive already in the system. I went
in and renamed the drive, ie: CD-Rom drive to drive "H" and the flash drive
was then recoginized by Vista. See Help in Vista to rename a drive. Hope
this helps.
