no 1400x1050 resolution available in vista

hi i have 2 monitors with the native resolution 1400x1050. my graphics card
is nvidia geforce 6200 integrated. i tried the microsoft driver and the
official nvidia one. but there is no option in vista for my native
resolution. even though xp is fine with these two monitors. installing
monitor drivers etc also don't work. can someone please help fix this or
report this bug to microsoft. thanks.

That is most likely an nVidia problem as I've seen many similar posts on
their forums.

thanks for the link, i can't see any useful suggestions on there really, i've
tried rivatuner and that other guru one but none let me add the resolution, i
think this is a vista bug as XP was great with these monitors...

I agree it is not a Vista bug since the drivers that Vista supplies are not
developed by Microsoft but are supplied to Microsoft by Nvidia. The NVIDIA
drivers for Vista are still in development with functions such as custom
resolution scheduled for a future release. Check the release notes for the
version of the NVIDIA driver you are using.
