DVD and CD docking station. - Technology Questions

DVD and CD docking station.

My newly bought computer worked well till last week. After having had ADSL
installed by the service provider the DVD and CD docking stations have
disapeared from the hardware list. They still are present in the BIOS.
Anybody has an idea what the problem may be?
