cock2 robin,

Here is a Microsoft troubleshooting guide:

http://support.microsoft.com/ph/9995

Determine whether it provides anything that you can use to fix the problem.

RE: microsoft wireless lasor mouse 5000

robin,

If your clean install using backup is the same Vista version you previously
activated, then a change in HD shouldn't trigger a reactivation. But even if
it does, it shouldn't matter. Just go ahead and reactivate. It's OK to
reactivate on the same machine.
