| usb drivers in vista (sis) Hi maybe someone here can help. built a system for vista with a FIC mainboard with an SIS chipset. everything works great with the exception of the USB!! the motherboard lists SIS 7002 enhanced chip for USB 2.0 and has drivers for that on the disc. Vista only sees the chipset as a 7001 (usb 1.1) chipset. by the hardware list the 7002 USB 2.0 should be loaded but if I manually change them they show a hardware problem and revert back to the 7001 chip doing a driver update.. any ideas on how to resolve this? any help would be great |

| RE: usb drivers in vista (sis) needalittle05, Here is a web page that HP put up for its customers having USB issues, but you can use it as USB issues are pretty much the same across the board: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&docname=c00820197 Take a look to determine whether one or more of the remedial suggestions could apply to your situation. -- freddy "needalittle05" wrote: > Hi maybe someone here can help. built a system for vista with a FIC mainboard > with an SIS chipset. everything works great with the exception of the USB!! > the motherboard lists SIS 7002 enhanced chip for USB 2.0 and has drivers for > that on the disc. If yes, try changing it to the opposite setting. |
