USB Memory Stick

I noticed on my new systen with Vista that when I click on the icon to make
my usb memory stick safe to remove, when the message pops up saying it is
safe to remove, the led on the device is still lit. This does not happen on
my XP machine. The led goes out when the message says safe to remove. Is
this normal??

Re: USB Memory Stick

Yes, it's normal. Or it is for me anyway.

Well, take your pick. I have two USB sticks, one behaves the way yours
does, the other doesn't. The one whose light stays on is a SanDisk
miniCruzer, which generally just seem to behave in non-standard ways.
Both seem to work okay on Vista, however.

Re: USB Memory Stick

thanks for the replies. I guess it is just a Vista "thing". My memory stick
works ok otherwise.
