We can not play either Sims 1 or 2 on our new Dell PC with Home Vista.

Try installing them as administrator (right click the setup.exe then run as
administrator)

What error message are you getting? What model Dell are you using
(Dimension ____)?

More info will result in a better answer than installing as admin. Sims
1 complete and Sims 2 (any) should install normally in Vista.

FYI, so does Sims 3, but i'm not allowed to talk about that yet. :P

It does, each re-release of Sims games includes the patch for that game,
when you run a new expansion you basically don't run the old version, so
the only patch you need is for the newest expansion that you own.

Hi!
When I install Sims 2 on our new Vista Packard Bell, It tells me it is not compatable and I need to install the patches. I try to install the patches, but it comes up "Error in installation which will now terminate."

Can anyone help me to get this running???
