Splinter Cell Games on Windows Vista Home Basic Laptop

Okay, so I went out and I bought Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, and
Splinter Cell: Double Agent for PC, and since Pandora Tomorrow was only 10
bucks, I opened it up and installed it, assuming it would work, and if it
didn't, I'd eat the cost anyways...

I installed it just fine, the opening video played, but then when I went to
play the actual game, it quit to Desktop and gave me the "Splinter Cell
Pandora Tomorrow Has Stopped Working" thing and said it would take several
minutes. I tried and re-tried, but it still doesn't work.

A few questions.

1.) What can I do to get this game to work.
2.) Will Splinter Cell: Double Agent work?

Keep in mind it's a Windows Vista Home Basic Laptop...

The guys at Best Buy suggested when I left the store that I check the
Microsoft website for games that are updated for Vista...Anywhere I can find
that site?

Not sure, try running as an Administrator when you install the game, and
when you run the actual game. If you don't feel you need UAC (User Account
Control), you might want to turn that option off. You can find UAC in the
User Accounts control panel option.

Try running the game in Windows XP compatibility mode. Right-click on the
program icon, select properties, under compatibility tab, check the first
box. Click OK, try the game again.

Probably, but it's an older game, before Vista, so don't be shocked beyond
belief if it does not. You might check with ubisoft.com see if they have any
suggestions for troubleshooting this game.

Laptop chipsets suck for gaming unless it's a gaming laptop with like an
nVidia 7900 go, or something. Update your drivers for video and audio.

I think it's http://www.gamesforwindows.com might have a list of tested
games.
