| Hi I just bought a new Dell Studio XPS 435T which comes with Vista Home Premium. There wasn't any problems with the ATI Catalyst Control Center launching and tweaking until I have updated the drivers via Windows Update. Worse still, the update crashed my Vista. There wasn't any blue screens but when Vista started up, nothing is displayed - pure black screen until I tried to launch Task Manager. It returned some error which said something like "security login error". Nevermind that coz I went for a clean install of Vista with the DVD which came with the PC. Subsequent re-installs and video graphics driver update did not crash Vista anymore but it crashed the Catalyst Control Center (dammit!! Anyway to fix this error? I wouldn't want to keep my graphics driver outdated. There is an issue which I believe has got to do with the re-installing of Vista as some of my games worked before the re-install has been carried out. For example, Devil May Cry 4 which worked then but it crashed every time I tried to launch the game after the re-install. Any ideas on how to fix this? |
