Arrow Disc read error!

Hi,

Im a complete noob and I have done something stupid. I have a laptop running Vista home and I put a software disc for a printer (EPSON DX3850) i wanted to install on the laptop. Thing is, the disc was for an XP OS and ever since i tried to install the software it reads "A DISK ERROR OCCURRED, PRESS CRTL+ALT+DEL TO RESTART.

Now I know you experts know whats happened. Any chance you could enlightened a noob fool into furnishing me with a solution? I would really appreciate it if you could help in some way.

Many thanks

Yes, I was stupid, but we all learn from our mistakes in the end.

Re: Disc read error!

When you say "ever since i tried to install the software..." do you mean only when you insert the disc?

Try downloading the drivers and software from the Epson site.

Hi mate,

thanks for trying to help, appreciate it. What i mean is this:

I put the software disc that came with the printer into the drive of the laptop. Now unbeknown to me I didnt realise it was for an XP OS not vista (as the laptop is). I left it to start and when i came back, it read:

A DISC READ ERROR OCCURRED, PRESS CRTL+ALT+DEL TO RESTART

Now all I get when i try to reboot is that error message. It allows me to enter F2 to the bios, but thats it. It wont allow me to press F10 or F8 to enter the recovery console

Any ideas mate?

Thank you
