I've been searching the internet and reading stuff about umpc's..but i wanted to hear it from the horses mouth so to speak!..

Are they good and or usefull?..

my girlfriend is working at an IT company here in Auckland, NewZealand...and shes going to be getting involved in software projectswith companies like vodaphone...and I'm thinking about getting her oneof these umpc's to work/learn on. Are they good enough and easy touse...plus can you use external cd drives and they run ok?..also do youneed an external modem for web use?..and can you use a light pen towrite/draw on the screen etc.....

any advice would be much appreciated!...
