Portrait vs Landscape (Reading eBooks) Can the UMPC devices rotate from Landscape into Portrait? I want to read eBooks with this devices: how well do you think that would work? Originally posted on UMPC Buzz

Re: Portrait vs Landscape (Reading eBooks) I do put my Q1 in Portrait mode when I read ebooks. It is the only way to get enough info on the screen to really read. The one thing that does mess with my head though. Is when you rotate the screen to portrait mode the buttons switch so the one you would think that would go forward actually goes back and vice versa.

Re: Portrait vs Landscape (Reading eBooks) The Raon everun will rotate automatically as you rotate the device, and the buttons work once rotated in a rotated mode (ie. not like the Q1 above). I agree; landscape is the best way to read, and a UMPC rocks for ebook reading (although mobpocket needs to improve their ebook readers browser, it is a bit of a PIA, and I haven't found another reader program that is anywhere as nice). I especially like that the Everun runs about 5-5.5 hours between charges.
