| Remember the Inkers Warner says it best in his post, Repeating My Simple Plea For Better Inking on Small Mobile Devices. OEMs are moving in the wrong direction when they forget digital ink on the Ultra Mobile platform. People love to scribble. OEMs seem to have forgotten creativity is an essential part of usability. Yes, there are vocal people (not in the literal sense) who critique the Ultra Mobile platform by saying a keyboard is required. These are people who never understood the value of the platform. Inking is the center. Take away ink and you take away the value of the platform. I don't want to type my notes while I'm reading - that's just stupid. I want to freely highlight, underline, circle ideas, and scribble notes in the margin of text. And when someone else is droning on during a meeting then I want to look busy while I scribble a note to myself. Never forget the beauty of scribbling while someone else is talking. PS. Yes, Warner, a postscript is appropriate in a blog post. Best of luck in selling the ASUS. More... |
