Seoul, Nov 14 -- Samsung Electronics has won 32 awards for innovations design and engineering from International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2008, which opens in Las Vegas January 7-10, 2008. The list of CES Innovations 2008 Awards Honorees was announced on November 14, and it included twelve Samsung audio/video and consumer electronics products (4 TVs, 1 MP3 player, 1 home theater system, 1 camcorder, 1 combination HD disc player, 1 set of Bluetooth speakers, 1 refrigerator, and 2 media players).
An additional twenty Samsung Electronics IT and mobile products (2 printers, 3 monitors, 13 mobile phones,
1 ultra-mobile PC, and 1 solid-state drive) were so honored. Meanwhile, Samsung Techwin received its first CES Innovations Award, for a digital camera. Importantly, the Samsung Bluetooth speaker system and "UbiCell" personal base stations received the coveted Best of Innovations 2008 accolades. The Bluetooth speaker system automatically detects and connects Bluetooth-enabled MP3 players and mobile phones that come within range. The user can enjoy MP3 audio files in 3-channel surround sound without having to take any special steps.
