Hardware Zone provides a look at the Gigabyte U60. Heat appears to be an issue with this system.

Unfortunately, there was a rather unsettling issue of heat when the Gigabyte U60 was used for more than an hour. Though there are two ventilation channels located at the bottom, the heat dissipation rate was not efficient enough to cool down the handheld to return a more comfortable usage experience.

I wonder if the reviewers were keeping the system in their hands, raised, or down on a table. If the vents are blocked then I can certainly understand the system heating.
Since this is a first look, hopefully Hardware Zone will follow up with some thoughts on the differences in the Gigabyte U60 and other systems on the market.
