Intel Ultra Mobile Group Platform Roadmap

During Spring IDF 2007, Intel showed slides about its platform roadmap for the Ultra Mobile Platform 2007 and beyond. Here are the key platform codenames:

* McCaslin - Ultra Mobile Platform 2007 - now shipping
* Menlow - ETA Q2 2008
* Moorestown - ETA 2009

Re: Intel Ultra Mobile Group Platform Roadmap

I think it is great for Intel to offer more mobile chips and their focus now on pocket size devices. That is what UMPC's need, jacket size alternatives to gain mainstream adoption. What I am worried about is that they seem to be pushing Linux. I am just a business person and I do want a pocket laptop but I doubt that a Linux device would work as I need to run business softwares only made for Windows.
